What happens during my session? I like to start with a brief history and an understanding of what you would like to change in your life. I will probably ask you to put on headphones so you can hear barely audible soothing sounds. I then guide you through a process individually tailored to the specific issue you want to address.
Will I re-experience past trauma? Brainspotting is a very gentle process that allows healing to take place while you feel extremely supported. While strong emotions sometimes come up, I carefully manage the process so that you do not feel overwhelmed. Clients typically end the session with a feeling of deep peace. You may find it interesting to read the testimonials on this website and note how soothing the process is.
