YOGA AND WELLNESS

I began my study (and regular practice) of meditation in 1967.  In 1972, I began practicing and teaching Kundalini Yoga, under the direct tutelage of Yogi Bhajan, Ph.D., a Master of Kundalini Yoga.   In 1983 I began to offer Personalized Wellness Programs that created individualized programs combining the power of Kundalini Yoga and psychotherapy.  Clients have received awesome results!

Yogi Bhajan:  ”A Ph.D. in Marriage”

From a recent client: “I think of you lovingly all the time, ever so grateful for the divine wisdom and teachings you shared with me.  It is so clear to me that the therapy work I did with you led me deeper into kundalini yoga, deeper into myself, deeper into meditation.”

Stress Reduction: “The personalized program that you designed for me for stress reduction, relaxation , and the elimination of fear is incredibly effective” J. Bachewicz, Real Estate Developer

Confidence-building: “Doing this program was one of the best things I’ve ever done.  I became more alert and confident and less fearful.  I found myself more able to reach out to other people in both my personal and professional life…one of the major agents of change in my life.”  G. Ventola, Studio Ventola

Block Identification and Elimination: “Your ability to identify blocks, both physical and psychological, along with your knowledge of appropriate treatment on so many levels, is truly a gift.  The quality of my daily life has improved tremendously.  Very intense and productive.”  D. Monette, President, Monette Corporation

Improved Relationships: “Mostly I feel more in control of my life…. I have made many positive chances both in personal relationships and in pursuing my goal to be an artist… I now have the strength, energy, and confidence to do what I want to do” “S. Bruck, Attorney at Law, Artist

Balance: “Finally, a system that addresses three important areas.  Physically, (it) headed off would-be problems and spearheaded the establishment of new, good habits.  The yoga exercises and meditations helped create mental clarity and a general sense of well-being.  Together they enabled me to feel more spiritually centered and sound—the connections with others and my Creator made my soul sparkle.  Thank you!  R. Garrick, Special Education Instructor

A Personalized Wellness Program has four phases:

Session 1: Together we do a comprehensive clinical analysis of your entire life – that’s what this questionnaire is about.  From this, we can get a clear picture of your behavior patterns, strengths you’ve developed, as well as negative habit patterns that keep you from achieving your goals in life. Obviously, the more specific and complete your answers, the better we can work together to achieve what you want.

Between Sessions 1 and 2, I will analyze your questionnaire, meditate on you and design your Personalized Wellness Program based on my years of experience as a psychotherapist and yoga practitioner and instructor.

Session 2: At our second session, we’ll go over your program.  I’ll explain all the techniques and explain why I have chosen them for you.  This is a good time to ask any questions about the program.  You’ll receive written instructions exactly delineating how to apply this program to your life.  As you begin the program, you may experience positive results right from the start.

Session 3: The scope of the third session varies – it depends on what you need at this time and what you want to accomplish.  We’ll further adjust the program to most efficiently fit your needs and schedule, incorporating your successful motivation strategies.  We’ll also go over additional techniques at this time.

Session 4: At this fourth meeting, we’ll evaluate your progress and the effectiveness of the program.  We’ll examine if there is any way the program can more precisely meet your needs. We can also make refinements and discuss long-range planning towards your future goals.
